This Burundi coffee is from the Burui region specifically the Kawa Zamurabawe washing station (loosely translated as ‘Progress through Coffee’) , this washing station serves about 800 smallholder farms across 6 hills in this region of Burundi. The Burui region is cooler and drier than the Northern producing regions resulting in a very vibrant acidity and bright sweetness in the coffee and the growing region averages an elevation of around 1610 MASL.
This beautiful special coffee has a vibrant acidity, deep body and lingering sweetness in the cup with notes of brown sugar, pink grapefruit and cranberry.
